When one mentions European Old-World qualities, it fabricates the visuals of supple fruits of Mediterranean cuisine, ethereal archways and whimsy botanicals. Bringing this theme to life in the heart of Miami, within the walled courtyards of The Ancient Spanish Monastery seemed to be easy to do. Its architecture alone brought our florals, antique rentals, and Anna Campbell gowns to life. Respecting the history of the venue, our vendors worked hard to bring the ultimate design together with emphasis on, "sophistication and an ethereal essence." Blush, cream, eucalyptus with hints of gold and plum was the color palette that we stemmed off from. This was a very unique shoot, as it incorporated 7 models, 4 photographers, a videographer, and 3 designers. The venue will be hosting the Florida Bridal Expo coming up this month on February 19, 2017 where you can find all of these vendors and meet them personally.
Until this exciting event, follow this guide on how to create the perfect Old World theme for your personal event.
Choosing your furniture and decor rentals is the first step to create your design. The tables, chairs, pedestals and specialty lighting behaves as your canvas to paint the detail. We chose vintage farmhouse tables, royal framed chaise lounge chairs, wrought iron candle holders, and candelabras to bring the old-world theme together. We worked with the company True Love Decor vintage rental company based in Jupiter, who are happy to bring their goods as far south as Miami.
The next step is working with your details: flowers, favors, cake and details. Laser cut favors with ivory linen paper with hand-torn edges and gold tone ink; Earth and Sugar's divine cake design incorporating creeping vine crowns for the peak; Eucalyptus and garden rose arrangements; and our gold rimmed plateware and crystal stole the show.
When we look at the faces behind the veil, you can expect to see heavily adorned, form fitting gowns and sharp suits. Our accessories were none other than Cloe Noel and Traci Lynn Jewlery affects. Our beauticians created a natural sophistication with long curls with crowns. A look fit for a princess.
